hey there, i'm wenyu π
but you can call me lisa. i'm just figuring things out.
i graduated high school last year, and i'm currently finishing up my first year of community college at De Anza. this fall, i'll be transferring to UC Berkeley! i was admitted for EEP (Environmental Economics & Policy), but my goal is to transfer into Statistics.

the legal name is wenyu, but i go by lisa
welcome to my corner of the internet! as i mentioned on the homepage, i'm in that transitional phase of life where i'm still trying to figure out who i am and what i want to do.
i spent my last year at De Anza Community College which was a great experience that helped me prepare for what's next. getting into UC Berkeley was a dream come true, and even though i entered under the Environmental Economics & Policy (EEP) track, i'm planning to pivot into Statistics. i love looking at patterns and drawing conclusions from dataβit feels like a structured way to make sense of a chaotic world.

not projects, exactly
i don't have a stacked github yet, but here are some things i vibe-coded and put my heart into, even if they didn't work out perfectly!
Roblox Adventure Game
my attempt at creating a custom Roblox game a while back. i didn't really know how to code, so it was 100% vibe-coded using scripts i found and tweaked. it ended up completely broken, but it taught me a lot about game building and physics!
Discord Moderator Bot
built a custom bot to moderate a digital shop i owned. it automated shop commands, inventory alerts, and user welcoming. it was vibe-coded but actually worked! unfortunately, it fell through because i couldn't find a free hosting solution that stayed online.
The "Months Later" Playlist
after going months without curating music, i finally sat down and made a playlist that represents my current state of mind. it's a mix of indie, lo-fi, and chill beats that i listen to while studying or climbing.
Digital Art & Sketching
i used to draw a lot (mostly character art and sketch illustrations), but i ended up quitting due to burnout. currently resting my pencils and sketchbook, but i want to ease back into art when the creative spark returns.
things i love
when i'm not studying statistics or figuring out website code, you'll probably find me doing one of these.
rock climbing
currently climbing **V3** grades! bouldering is like solving a physical puzzle. it's high intensity, super rewarding, and keeps me active.
playing my flute
getting back into music! i played the flute in the past, and i'm currently practicing to re-learn scales and play some of my favorite melodies.
dystopian fiction
dystopian sci-fi is my absolute favorite reading genre. i love complex world-building and rebellion themes. currently reading Golden Son (by Pierce Brown) and Silver Elite.
video games
mostly playing competitive shooters and sandboxes. my main rotation includes Overwatch, Valorant, and cozy Minecraft sessions with friends.
hanging out
nothing beats just doing absolutely nothing with my friends. just grabbing boba, chatting, and driving around the bay.
cat corner
i am obsessed with my cat. here is a picture of a cute cat that represents the vibe of my fuzzy little roommate!
fun photos
not professional portraits, just some fun, aesthetic snapshots that capture my favorite moments and vibe.
